Aspen Avionics EFD1000 PRO PFD

With all the functions a pilot needs at a reasonable price, the Apsen Avionics EFD1000 PRO PFD is the first choice for anyone who wants to fly safe in unpredictable conditions. The EFD1000 includes an Attitude Director Indicator (ADI) with more capabilities than only showing accurate attitude with tapes and airspeed. During the most serious stage of flight, the approach, the ADI will give you deviation indicators for both lateral and vertical as well as approach minimums. When the EFD1000 is combined with a radar altimeter, the ADI will send alerts when the barometric and AGL minimums are reached. For added convenience, the Horizontal Situation Indicator (HSI) gives you information about your current waypoint in easy-to-read text format. The functionality of a CDI and course pointer on your compass and programmable bearing pointers to set your own GPS or VOR waypoint gives you the advantage of being able to react quickly to any situation.

The EFD1000 is an extremely compatible device and can be connected to most flight directors and GA autopilots by using the included ACU. There’s no need to worry over losing functionality when replacing your mechanical ADI and HSI, as it’s most likely to improve. By connecting the EFD1000 to a WAAS GPS, you can use the GPS Steering feature for autopilot in HDG mode through even the most complicated flight maneuvers. The autopilot function on the EFD1000 can be combined with your attitude indicator even if it doesn’t support a flight director and will improve the accuracy and safety of flying with a single-cue flight director feature. The feature of arc mode is used once you are on your flight path, and displays an animated map of your future path as well as surrounding airports and navaids. If you’d like an additional map to display the weather and traffic, simply purchase the optional software. If you want to add even more functions, you may upgrade your software to the most advanced PFD, which is the ATP.
