The AR/RT620X VHF transceivers are a family of high-quality aircraft radios optimized by their functionalities, state-of the-art technology, compact dimensions, and low weight for many different aircraft categories in the general aviation community. Market leader for their reliability, the products follow the highest manufacturing and testing standards in the Light & Sport Aviation segment.
Smaller and lighter than its predecessor the AR-4201, the new AR-6201 from Becker is built upon state-of-the-art DSP (Digital Signal Processing) technology which give the unit a highly efficient transmitter and a more sensitive receiver for a higher level of performance. With its integrated intercom, it allows the connection of up to four headsets. The Intercom can be activated in two ways: 1)Over a discrete switching input (active low) of the (external) Intercom switch, and/or 2)Over VOX, with an adjustable VOX threshold.
Still with a 2 1/4" diameter, the AR-6201 is pin for pin compatible with the older AR-4201 allowing for easy upgrade and replacement. Included in the unit is a voltage meter and OAT (Outside Air Temperature) readout with the optional temp sensor built in. Also included is a VOX intercom system for up to four seats. Dual watch allows scanning of two separate frequencies.
