Because it records audio in stereo, 3D Audio from capable radios and audio panels is perfectly preserved as well as any stereo music or auxiliary audio sources. It intercepts audio between your audio out jack and your headset, so you won't lose access to an audio out jack that you, your copilot or passengers may want to use.
