Aviation CO Detector - 452-101-011

AERO 452 is the first TSO certified carbon monoxide detector for use in general aviation. The 452 can be easily installed in appropriate 2 to 4 hours as log book entry or as a follow on installation from a sample on a STC on a Cessna 172 supplied for download.
Aero 452 is the first TSO certified Carbon Monoxide detector for use in General Aviation. This unit has passed all mandatory functional and quality checks as prescribed by the FAA and has been awarded TSO certification.

Aero 452 has also been approved by FAA for installation on certified aircraft. Shipping FAA approved paperwork along with the unit, which will authorize its installation on certified aircraft. Some FAA Fisdo have allowed it as a Log Book entry or we supply 337 STC installed on a Cessna 172.

This unit is FAA TSO approved for all part 23 certified aircraft weighing (12,500 lbs or less). There is a one model STC for the Cessna 172, so that the installation manual, the instructions for continued airworthiness and the flight manual can be FAA approved for any aircraft.

For other aircraft, it does need a major repair and alteration Form 337 using the 172 STC documentation as a reference.

Re-calibration:

The CO sensors in the detectors have a 5 to 7 year life under ideal conditions. Even if they are protected from all external contaminants, it is strongly recommend re-calibration of the units after 3 years. The CO sensor is extremely sensitive and certain substances in the ambient air may change its characteristics and affect reliability.

WARRANTY :The Aero 452 comes with a 1 year limited warranty. The warranty will be void if the unit has been opened or tampered with.
